Judges critique:  2 Tonkin, Pellow & Pellow's Rosanyos San Mateo JW. 2.1/2 years old fawn male, another strong square masculine dog, not quite as elegant as the first, clean head of correct proportions with expressive dark eyes, arched neck flowed into slightly straighter front but strong top line and good well-muscled rear angles, very tight cat feet, moved well.

Judges critique: Tonkin & Pellow's Rosanyos Take That SHCM. 9yr old B&W, another in tip top condition for age. Very smart & flashy & well made with lovely head that was clean and dry with good eyes, ears, muzzle & mouth. He had a pleasing front assembly with nicely laid shoulders, strong boned straight front legs and obvious forechest. His body was short, shapely & deep and he had pleasing rear quarters. He handled & moved very well.

However, our star of the day was Mateo (Rosanyos San Mateo JW), as his sister Madge, 2 days out of Yearling in his first Limit Class and by far the biggest class of the day with 25 entries was placed a fabulous 5th. So pleased with this boys progress as he is VERY lightly shown

Graduate Bitch - 1st Rosanyos Madre Mia JW - RBIS & RBB. My notes say 'fabulous' loved the overall type, style and verve of this girl. She is typical of how a boxer should look, strong and athletic with powerful musculation. She moved with such power and style from hammy quarters, securing her placings today. Headpiece is balanced with good depth and width of muzzle, lovely nose with good tilt, looks at you from wonderful dark eyes. Clean cheeks, well set ears, no excess of flesh. Good mouth, evident chin with correct lip placement. Presented in superb condition and handled to perfection. Her future looks bright I am very sure of that.
Limit Bitch - 1st Rosanyos Rocket Pocket JW - Strongest class of the day with overall the bitches appearing to be much stronger than the males in certain areas. So, it bodes well that for some of these ladies we may look forward to further enhancement  and betterment of our beloved breed in their prospective progeny. BB & BIS. This striking 3 year lass stood away from the class on entering the ring, such presence, style, verve and above all that wonderful aloof boxer attitude and character, her temperament is wonderful. She was handled by her young owner to perfection to take the top honours today (a memorable weekend I was informed at end of judging), shown in bang on condition and with super rapport to give very best. The vibrance was visibly electric from her. From her wonderful strength throughout she moved and covered the ground as only a boxer can 'eating the ground up with every stride'. Headpiece is clean with no exaggerations, good flat cheeks, well set ears, broad level skull, good tilt of nose, correct muzzle to skull ratio with good strength stop. Lovely dark inviting eyes that melt you as she draws you in to her. Excellent dentition and spacing, correct lip placement. Uses her beautiful length of neck to advantage, flowing in to correct laid shoulders to strong broad back, topline retained in motion. Tightest of cat feet. Tailset bang on and carried happily. Congratulations for today and may we see you reaching the highest honours with this smashing young boxer.

We are proud to announce that all 3 of our team have qualified for the above finals which are held in February each year

Rosanyos San Mateo (Mateo), Rosanyos Madre Mia (Madge) and Rosanyos Pocket Rocket JW (Rocket) have all won Groups at Open Shows held in Cornwall. The three have had further success by also each winning groups in Devon too, and further afield, a great conclusion of a very successful year of showing

Unfortunately due to a full schedule of showing commitments the Rosanyos Team will regrettably be unable to attend this event. Over the 2 week period alone surrounding this event the Team will have covered 1500 miles with many more to come next month so we have had to make the decision to give the Team a weekend off. As I type this they are all crashed on my bed with me, snoring away!!

Judges Critique: 2 Tonkin's Rosanyos San Mateo. Another well balanced boy who just needs time, he eventually moved well and got into his stride, I feel he will come into his own quite soon.
2 Tonkin's Rosanyos Madre Mia. 6 mths. I loved the prettiness of this baby, she is so sweet and I feel sure she will also do well once she matures. She is nicely put together with no faults that I could see, I could have gladly taken this girl home with me. 
2 Tonkin's Rosanyos Pocket Rocket JW. 2 yrs. Her head is good and correct throughout and so is her body, she has a nice turn of stifle and good hocks. She moved soundly and at no time let her handler down and she was a pleasure to judge.

Judges Critique: 1st PD - 7 months red/white boy who presented a balanced picture and pleased me very much upon closer inspection. He has an excellent head so correct for his age with good rise of skull, dark eyes, evident stop, large nose and well padded muzzle. He has the required lip to lip placement which is correct and a wide mouth. His neck is elegant and his forechest is well developed, he is square with strong quarters which have just the right angulation, he moved very well for one so young. One to watch for the future I'm sure.
1st PB - red/white girl of just 7 months and what a show girl! An absolute natural, on her toes all the time and enjoying every minute. Looked breathtaking when posed and equally as impressive when she powered around the ring, moving with drive to cover the ground so well for one so young. From front to rear she is absolutely correct with an elegant arched neck, well laid back shoulders and bang on tailset. She has a good length of foreleg and lovely tight feet, shapely tuck up and short strong loin. Her hammy quarters have the correct angulation and are well muscled. She is so Boxery with substance and elegance yet she retains her femininity. Her expression is superb with more than a hint of mischief in her lovely dark eyes. She has a well padded muzzle with good rise of skull, required chin and lip to lip placement with a good mouth and correct dentition. She was the one I'd have been very happy to take home I will watch her career with interest, the best is yet to come in my opinion. I'm sure she will not disappoint. BP & PG2

HOWARD ALSO VISITS THE CHILDRENS WARDS AT THE ROYAL CORNWALL HOSPITAL TRELISKE WHERE HE IS A MOST WELCOME VISITOR BY THE CHILDREN
HOWARD HAS BEEN RECOGNISED OF HIS SUPERB WORK AND BEEN SHORTLISTED OUT OF OVER 4,700 P.A.T DOGS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY INTO THE FINAL 6 FOR THE TITLE OF P.A.T DOG OF THE YEAR.
